Basil is a typical NRI working in the UAE, originally from the beautiful state of Kerala. He spent a part of his early childhood in the UAE before continuing the rest of his upbringing in India. Growing up between cultures and languages shaped his perspective and gave him a unique emotional sensitivity that later reflected in his writing.
Studying in the UAE within a multilingual environment sparked in him a deep love for languages and storytelling from a very young age. Writing gradually became a personal space for expression — a way to understand emotions, thoughts, and experiences that often remained difficult to say aloud. Through simple yet emotionally resonant poetry, Basil captures feelings that many people silently carry within themselves.
